One achieves bhakti by worshiping the Lord ceaselessly.
On today's sanga, Srila Dhanurdhara Swami, along with others, remembers Srimati Yamuna Devi who had just passed away on December 20, 2011.
TRANSLATION
One achieves bhakti by giving up sense gratification and mundane association.

TRANSLATION
The pure devotees living in Vaikuntha enjoy forever in varied ways the happiness of directly serving Sri Krsna’s lotus feet. In comparison, the nectar of liberation appears condemned.

Standard authorities have described the methods for achieving devotional service.

TRANSLATION
That abode, Vaikuntha, is made of concentrated ecstasy and pure consciousness. Even for liberated souls it is difficult to attain. But the Lord’s devotees who are free from selfish desires reach it at once.

Therefore seekers of liberation should take to devotional service alone.

But even the devotees of the Personality of Godhead who still have material desires can enjoy the pleasures they wish and then become fully purified and go to the Lord’s abode.
