Forgetting everything else, he started off, vina in hand. Having spent much time before in Dvaraka, Narada automatically took the familiar roads to the center of the city, amazing roads that led to the neighborhood of the Lord's palaces, and came to the palace of Krsna's that he knew how to reach from earlier visits. Under the spell of intense transcendental agitation, Narada seemed like an ordinary person haunted by a ghost.

Krsna has now forgotten Vaikuntha, for He is bound by intense, unbreakable loving exchanges with these Yadus. He sees the Yadus, touches them, talks with them, sits with them. He eats and sleeps with them, follows then when they walk, takes part in their marriage ceremonies, and shares in their other activities of embodied life. These relations are more tangible then the yogis' union with Him in meditation. Thus, by His pastimes Krsna spreads among the Yadus infinite pleasure, ever fresh and indescribable, destroying any desire they might have for heaven or liberation, and increasing more and more their devotion to Him.

Even so, I simply feel more attracted to the Supreme Lord in His eternal identity as Sri Raghunatha, the sin of Dasaratha and joy of Mother Kausalya. His heart always tender with natural, unaffected compassion, He is spontaneously attracted to loving exchanges with His devotees, exchagnes free from any tinge of duplicity. He demonstrates how to follow properly the religious duties of a civilized people, and He upholds the strict vow of only having one wife. In the shyness of intimate humility, His face always hooks downward, His eyes fixed on the ground. His exalted character is pleasing to all. He stands with bow in hand, the king of kings, the hero of the city Ayodhya, served by Sita and Laksmana, and with Bharata as His older brother. He rules the race of monkeys as the dear friend of Sugriva and gives shelter to Vibhisana. By my hearing of the pastimes of Krsna, the unlimited loving attraction I feel toward my own master has increased.

Krsna Book Chapter 30: Krishna's Hiding from the Gopis

Krsna Book
Chapter 30: Krsna’s Hiding from the Gopis

When Krsna suddenly disappeared from the company of the gopis, they searched for Him everywhere. After not finding Him anywhere, they became afraid and almost mad after Him. They were simply thinking of the pastimes of Krsna in great love and affection. Being absorbed in thought of Him, they experienced loss of memory, and with dampened eyes they began to see the very pastimes of Krsna—His beautiful talks with them, His embracing, kissing and other activities. Being so attracted to Krsna, they imitated His dancing, His walking and His smiling, as if they themselves were Krsna. Due to Krsna’s absence, they all became crazy; each one of them told the others that she was Krsna Himself. Soon they all assembled together and chanted Krsna’s name very loudly as they moved from one part of the forest to another, searching for Him.

Actually, Krsna is all-pervasive: He is in the sky, and He is in the forest; He is within the heart, and He is always everywhere. The gopis therefore began to question the trees and plants about Krsna. There were various types of big trees and small plants in the forest, and the gopis addressed them: “Dear banyan tree, have you seen the son of Maharaja Nanda passing this way, laughing and playing on His flute? He has stolen our hearts and gone away. If you have seen Him, kindly inform us which way He has gone. Dear asoka tree, dear naga flower tree and campaka flower tree, have you seen the younger brother of Balarama pass this way? He has disappeared because of our pride.” The gopis were aware of the reason for Krsna’s sudden disappearance. They could understand that when they had been enjoying Krsna they thought themselves to be the most fortunate women within the universe, and since they were feeling proud, Krsna had disappeared immediately just to curb their pride. Krsna does not like His devotees to be proud of their service to Him. He accepts everyone’s service, but He does not like one devotee to proudly consider himself better than others. If sometimes there are such feelings, Krsna ends them by changing His attitude toward the devotee.

Note: Today's class is on Saturday due to Srila Dhanurdhara Swami's travel schedule.

Text 19

gopatmajatvam caritair vidambayan
reme rama-lalita-pada-pallavo
gramyaih samam gramya-vad isa-ceshtitah

TRANSLATION
In this way the Supreme Lord, whose soft lotus feet are personally attended by the goddess of fortune, concealed His transcendental opulences by His internal potency and acted like the son of a cowherd. Yet even while enjoying like a village boy in the company of other village residents, He often exhibited feats only God could perform.

Srimad Bhagavatam 10.15.8

Text 8

dhanyeyam adya dharani trina-virudhas tvat-
pada-spriso druma-latah karajabhimrishtah
nadyo 'drayah khaga-mrigah sadayavalokair
gopyo 'ntarena bhujayor api yat-spriha srih

TRANSLATION
This earth has now become most fortunate, because You have touched her grass and bushes with Your feet and her trees and creepers with Your fingernails, and because You have graced her rivers, mountains, birds and animals with Your merciful glances. But above all, You have embraced the young cowherd women between Your two arms -- a favor hankered after by the goddess of fortune herself.

TRANSLATION
O original personality, these bees must all be great sages and most elevated devotees of Yours, for they are worshiping You by following You along the path and chanting Your glories, which are themselves a holy place for the entire world. Though You have disguised Yourself within this forest, O sinless one, they refuse to abandon You, their worshipable Lord.

Text 7

kurvanti gopya iva te priyam ikshanena
suktais ca kokila-gana griham agataya
dhanya vanaukasa iyan hi satam nisargah

TRANSLATION
O worshipable one, these peacocks are dancing before You out of joy, these doe are pleasing You with affectionate glances, just as the gopis do, and these cuckoos are honoring You with Vedic prayers. All these residents of the forest are most fortunate, and their behavior toward You certainly befits great souls receiving another great soul at home.

nirikshya rantum bhagavan mano dadhe

TRANSLATION
The Supreme Personality of Godhead looked over that forest, which resounded with the charming sounds of bees, animals and birds, and which was enhanced by a lake whose clear water resembled the minds of great souls and by a breeze carrying the fragrance of hundred-petaled lotuses. Seeing all this, Lord Krishna decided to enjoy the auspicious atmosphere.
